Home of Trudy Cross - owner of interiors boutique - Tin Design

Photos by Trudy Cross

Interior Stylist Trudy, lives in this Edwardian 4 bed home with her husband and 2 children.

They have owned the property in Westcliff on sea, Essex, for 4 years. They purchased it as a doer - upper and have transformed it into an uber stylish house, laden with vintage treasures and accessories from Trudy's boutique.

Three rooms were knocked into one to make a kitchen/diner with a bespoke seating nook and a concrete island.

Trudy designed the kitchen layout using units from Howdens, installing a concrete island and high end taps to give it a bespoke finish.

Trudy has added impact throughout the home, with dark ceilings in both the kitchen and living room, creating a coherent interiors scheme. She has a great eye for quirky pieces and uses art and accessories to add colour and pattern.

Trudy's top tip for renovating,

"Take your time and learn where the light travels before starting."

An East London basement flat.

Photos by No Ordinary Space

Liz moved into this light and airy basement flat in Lower Clapton, East London in October 2015.

The flat was in good condition when she bought it. Liz installed a bespoke kitchen, designed and fitted by a local carpenter. She painted all the walls in brilliant white and added colour through her art and furniture.

Liz has treasures from around the globe, and from local independent retailers. She has a great mix of vintage pieces and combines these with lots of colourful prints and pieces from the high street. All working brilliantly against a light and bright back drop.

I hope you enjoy having a look around this ecclectic and colourful flat.
